Qualifications: Introduction to Cell Biology, Molecular Biology and Biochemistry is part of an introductory set of courses designed for biology majors and others requiring a rigorous treatment of the subject. It is designed to prepare students for in-depth, upper-division work in areas related to cell biology, molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics. Required for all biology majors and prerequisites for most upper-division Biology courses.

This course will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2026 Spring term on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9:15 - 10:20 am.

In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.

The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, or related field; and undergraduate teaching experience in cell and molecular biology; and research experience in cell and molecular biology. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the course or BIOL 001.

Candidates must reside in California.

The salary range for this position is $9,929 - $13,744 (4 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021.
