Qualifications: Developmental Biology and Embryology lecture and corresponding lab explore the processes during embryonic development of animals, including fertilization, establishment of a body plan, organ and organ system development. The topics will be examined with an emphasis on mechanisms controlling cell differentiation and morphogenesis.
This lecture and lab combination will be taught in person on the Moraga campus during the 2026 Spring Term as follows:
Lecture, MWF 10:40 - 11:30 am
Lab, W 1:30 - 5:30 pm
In addition to teaching, the instructor is expected to hold regular office hours (a minimum of one hour per week) in order to provide students with support outside of the classroom.
The successful candidate will hold an advanced degree in a relevant area of biology and undergraduate teaching experience in biology. Preference will be given to those who have previously taught the course or Biology 102.
Candidates must reside in California.
The salary range for this position is $13,653 - $18,898 (5.5 units) and is covered by the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the College and SEIU, Local 1021, available here.
