Function of Position: Adjunct faculty prepare and teach courses in the department, develop new educational materials, and assist with the assessment of student learning, as appropriate. Classes are assigned for the Brighton Campus, or an online, remote, or hybrid modality, as needed. Adjunct faculty report to the chairperson of the Business Administration Department. The successful candidate will bring a passion for teaching and a desire to support and mentor MCC students as they pursue educational and career goals.
Examples of Duties and Responsibilities:
- Teaches courses and evaluates student performance in Business Administration, Management, Marketing, and Entrepreneurship as per guidelines set by the department and the college
- Prepares lesson plans and creates instructional materials and activities for student engagement
- Prepares Course Information Sheet/Syllabus in accordance with department and college guidelines
- Maintains student attendance records, grades, and other records according to department and college guidelines
- Performs other duties and responsibilities assigned by the department chair, as appropriate

Required Qualifications:
- Earned master's degree (M.B.A. or M.S.) or higher in Business Administration or related field from a regionally-accredited higher education institution
- Ability to teach courses within the department
- Evidence of effective communication skills (interpersonal, speaking, and writing)
- Evidence of proficiency with technology
Preferred Qualifications:
- College teaching experience
- Knowledge of, or experience in, implementing a variety of teaching strategies
- Experience with learning management systems such as Brightspace
Pay Rate for Fall 2025 & Spring 2026: Determined on adjunct rank and ranges from $1,217- $1,484 per contact hour.
