Adjunct Faculty: Cannabis Cultivation and Management
The Division of STEM invites applications in the following areas:
HRT 207: Cannabis Cultivation and Management, 3:30 - 7:30 PM, TR Lynn
Dates: February 2026 - May 2026
Work Schedule: Consistent with MCCC contract
SALARY: Adjunct salaries are dependent upon the number of credit hours. This is a non-benefited, MCCC position.

Applications are being accepted to create a pool of qualified instructors for possible future part-time teaching positions. Applications will be reviewed and interviews scheduled continuously on an as-needed basis. All applications remain on file for one year from the submission date.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Co-teach Cannabis Cultivation and Management.
- Prepare course syllabi, proctor and grade course assessments as scheduled, report final student grades, and complete student alerts by specified dates each semester.
- Assists in the development of the curriculum, course content, selection of textbooks, resources, and lab equipment to facilitate student learning outcomes.
- Develop and apply assessment strategies that maximize the learning process and measure student learning outcomes.
- Embrace the ideals of diversity and inclusiveness and support the equal rights of all people by advancing the understanding and appreciation of differences, including age, race, gender, ability, religious convictions, socio-economic status, ethnic heritage, or sexual orientation.
- Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement.
Job Requirements:
- Five years of documented experience in a licensed cannabis cultivation facility in cultivation role.
- Two years of experience related to the course content or graduate-level study of Horticulture or Agriculture Science is required.
- Demonstrated commercial cannabis cultivation experience, adhering to best management practices, following Integrated Pest Management principles, and compliance with industry regulations.
- Knowledge of Massachusetts cannabis law/policy.
- Experience successfully engaging with culturally diverse populations.
- Knowledge and experience with computer technology.
- Candidates must pass a CORI/SORI and national background check for employment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Teaching experience in higher education and/or at the community college level is strongly preferred.
- A baccalaureate degree in the field or a significant related field with industry experience.
