Indiana Tech is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Adjunct Faculty Member to join our online engineering program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage and inspire students in a virtual learning environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Teaching courses as needed.
- Maintain academic records of courses to assist in specialized accreditation.
- Collaborate with other degree programs on campus outside of computer engineering.
- Support efforts to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented populations.
- Support the mission, vision, and strategic plan of Indiana Institute of Technology.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a Master degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related field is required.
- College-level teaching experience required.
- Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population.
- Demonstrated evidence of strong written and oral communication.
- Experience with a Learning Management System.
- Applicants should be able to use technology effectively in all aspects of their work, including teaching.
Working Conditions
Work is normally performed in a typical classroom/office environment and synchronous or asynchronous online environment. Scheduling must be flexible to accommodate early morning, evening.
