Adjunct Faculty Day, Accounting and Finance, Accounting, AY 2026-2027
Overview
The Bertolon School of Business at Salem State University invites applications for adjunct professors with an interest in and experience teaching Accounting. We are looking for candidates who can teach students in the following courses: Financial Accounting, Managerial Accounting, Tax, Governmental and Non-Profit Accounting, Fraud/Forensics, and other similar classes. Specific teaching assignments will depend upon the expertise of the candidate and the needs of the program. We are looking for candidates who can teach both on campus and online.
Duties and Responsibilities
Teach and advise students. Work collaboratively with other faculty. Engage in activities to promote the success of our students, academic excellence, and faculty development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Business (MBA) or Accounting (MSA) from an AACSB-accredited school
- Relevant professional certification(s) such as CPA or CMA
- Minimum of 5 years of current professional experience in the accounting field
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to speak and write English clearly
- Demonstrated commitment to collaboration and collegiality
Preferred Qualifications
- College-level teaching experience
- Experience teaching a multicultural population
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, supervision, and advising
- Appropriate terminal degree
- Strength and potential for excellence and leadership in community engagement and university services
Working Location
This is an onsite position in Salem, MA with some on-campus, in-person responsibilities.
