Adjunct Faculty - Department of Speech, Language, and Communication Sciences

The Department of Speech, Language, and Communication Sciences (SLCS) at Xavier University invites applications for Adjunct Instructors beginning immediately. We seek a collaborative educator who is excited to contribute to a new academic program and whose teaching and clinical expertise will strengthen the Department's undergraduate curriculum in speech-language pathology.

SLCS currently offers an undergraduate program in speech, language, and communication sciences, with a graduate program in speech-language pathology planned to launch in 2031. Consistent with Xavier University's mission, the Department seeks to equip students with the competence and conscience necessary to serve individuals with communication disorders and the professionals and communities who support them.

The Department of Speech, Language, and Communication Sciences is part of the College of Health and Human Sciences . CHHS is a leader in experiential learning: 100% of our undergraduate and graduate programs require hands-on learning through field placements, internships, research experiences, and clinical opportunities. In the College of Health and Human Sciences, our commitment to exceptional teaching and mentoring drives us. We focus on scholarship and service in a variety of fields that make a direct and meaningful impact on others. The successful candidate will:

• Teach undergraduate courses in speech-language pathology, and later, graduate-level curriculum as the Department's graduate program develops toward its planned 2031 launch;
