Adjunct Faculty History
Job Summary:
The History Program of the Humanities Department at Mercy College seeks part time, adjunct instructors to teach History to undergraduate students.
Successful candidates may be offered the opportunity to teach up to three section(s) of any given course, with an emphasis on American, European, Latin American, and/or Caribbean, and a maximum of three course assignments per semester. A commitment to teaching with inclusive excellence is required.
Successful candidates may also be asked to assist with program assessment and development and to attend select programmatic meetings. Mercy University supports the professional development of part-time instructors through its Faculty Development Grant.
Schedule: Day and Evening teaching are likely to be required. We are not seeking instructors for online courses at this time.
Location: Courses may be offered at the Dobbs Ferry, Manhattan, or Bronx campuses. Adjunct faculty are not eligible for relocation assistance.

Qualifications
- Masters or Doctorate from an accredited institution in history or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience successfully teaching history on the college-level.
- Bachelor's degree required
