Adjunct Faculty - History
Job Description
The Humanities and Arts Department at Worcester Polytechnic Institute is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach History courses. History faculty teach introductory courses, intermediate thematic surveys, and advanced topic seminars. WPI's History program focuses on American, European, East Asian, Latin American, and global histories; the histories of science and technology; urban and environmental histories; imperial and postcolonial histories; and race, gender, and social movements.
We seek outstanding scholars with teaching excellence and versatility, who can integrate creative and critical pedagogical approaches into an existing curriculum. Candidates should hold a PhD in History.
Applications will be considered for opportunities on a course-by-course basis. Submit a cover letter addressing relevant expertise and experience, a current CV with names and contact information for three references, and evidence of teaching experience (e.g., syllabi, teaching portfolio).
