Job Summary

To teach courses in the School of Arts and Sciences on campus (preferred), online, and hybrid modalities in the following discipline: Humanities. Highly interested in candidates that are available to instruct courses on campus, weekdays between the hours of 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

Required Qualifications

Applicants desiring to teach any undergraduate degree-level courses in the Humanities, must have earned a minimum of 18 graduate level semester hours or 30 graduate level quarter hours in the respective discipline or related field from an accredited college or university. The college is building a repository of qualified part-time faculty for the School of Arts and Sciences.

Proposed Salary

This position is paid per course hour at $700.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Ability to teach classes and lecture; grade papers, conduct research, and create quizzes and assignments. Must be able to perform each essential duty efficiently and satisfactorily. Must have strong oral and written communication, listening, and organizational skills. Be proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and relevant business application software packages. Must be able to work cooperatively and effectively with others. Able to use small office equipment, including copy machines or multi-line telephone systems. Be able to use computers for data entry, word processing and/or purposes.
