Adjunct Faculty in Digital Art and Design

Required:
An MA or MFA in Studio Art is required by the time of initial appointment. Candidate should have experience teaching university level digital art and/or professional experience in digital art and design a plus. The position serves the Art program’s majors in Art Education, and Digital Art.
Preferred:
A background in art history is a plus.
Primary Responsibilities:
The teaching load includes digital media, teach undergraduate courses in digital media, including, but not limited to, 2D/3D design, animation and web design. The Department of VAPA is looking for a dynamic individual who stays abreast of the latest developments in the art world and inspire non-majors to pursue a major or minor in art. The ideal candidate is collaborative and has a strong interest in developing active partnerships with local and regional artists and arts organizations. The ability to create inclusive and engaging learning environments for a diverse student body will be an important characteristic of the successful candidate. Experience working with first-generation students is desirable. The candidate hired for this position will be joining a program and department embarking upon a multi-million-dollar expansion and renovation of current fine arts facilities.
