General Responsibilities
The Lifelong Learning department is seeking passionate and dedicated instructors to lead engaging, hands-on courses for adults with developmental and intellectual disabilities. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping students build confidence, independence, and practical life skills in areas such as social skills, daily living, vocational skills, financial literacy, personal safety, and more.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Human Services, Adult Education, Psychology, Social Work, or related discipline.
- At least 1–2 years of experience teaching, supporting, or working directly with adults with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
Essential Duties
- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, hands-on instruction in areas such as life skills, social skills, vocational skills, financial literacy, and personal safety.
- Develop lesson plans, instructional activities, supplemental materials, and course syllabi.
- Create and maintain a welcoming, supportive, inclusive, and accessible learning environment.
