The Department of Mathematics and Systems Engineering is seeking dynamic and knowledgeable individuals as adjunct faculty to teach College Algebra and/or Calculus courses during Fall 2025. Successful candidates will play a crucial role in imparting theoretical and practical knowledge to students, fostering a deep understanding of underlying concepts in these courses.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Course Instruction: Design and deliver lectures, tutorials, and hands-on sessions to guide students through the intricacies of course material.
Curriculum Development: Develop and update course materials, ensuring alignment with the latest advancements.
Evaluation and Assessment: Design assessments, quizzes, and projects to evaluate students' understanding and proficiency in applying methods and techniques taught in the course.
Student Engagement: Foster a positive and interactive learning environment, encouraging student participation and engagement in discussions and practical exercises.
Office Hours: Provide regular office hours for student consultations, addressing questions and concerns related to the course content.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Background: A Ph.D. in Mathematics.
Teaching Experience: Prior experience in teaching courses in Single/Multivariable Calculus and College Algebra is highly desirable.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex concepts to students.
