Adjunct Faculty in English at American Sign Language and Deaf Studies, Indianapolis
Part-Time
The Vincennes University American Sign Language & Deaf Studies Program located on the campus of the Indiana School for the Deaf in Indianapolis, Indiana, is seeking an Adjunct to teach English courses starting Fall Semester 2025.
The position is responsible for:
- Teaching English courses as assigned, including Elements of General Linguistics and Business Communications
- Participating in planning and assessing student and course success
- Complying with all record keeping requirements
- Other appropriate duties as assigned
Successful candidates will have:
- Masters level in any of these specific fields: English, Literature, Rhetoric and Composition, Writing Studies, English Education. May hold a Master’s degree in another area but must have completed a minimum of 18 graduate hours in English.
- Excellent oral and communication skills.
- An ability to work with a variety of learning styles and skill levels.
- An ability to work cooperatively with faculty, staff, and administrators.
- Preference will be given to persons with college-level teaching experience.
