Primary Purpose and Essential Functions
The Department of Public Policy Programs seeks a public service academic or professional to teach Finance for Public Policy in the Spring semester. The course will be offered in a synchronous, online format mostly in the evening to accommodate the schedules of students who are also working professionals. This position reports directly to the Assistant Dean for Graduate, Online & International Programs.
Minimum Qualifications
Master's degree in relevant field such as Public Policy, Public Administration, Finance, etc.
Working knowledge using current office software such as: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Internet and electronic email.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior teaching experience is desirable, but not essential. Must, however, demonstrate evidence of teaching potential.
Experience in local, state, or federal government.
Experience in public finance, budget, or related areas of practice.
Experience and sensitivity in working with people of diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to engage and integrate culturally responsive practices and knowledge in their work.
