Adjunct Faculty, Robotics, Automation and PLC
Job Description
We seek an experienced adjunct instructor to teach courses in Robotics, Automation, and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs). This role involves delivering hands-on training in industrial automation systems, robotic programming, and PLC ladder logic to prepare students for careers in advanced manufacturing, logistics, and related fields.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and deliver curriculum for courses such as: Robotic Teach Pendant Programming (TPP), PLC hardware and ladder logic programming, Troubleshooting automated systems, Industrial networking and HMIs.
- Provide hands-on lab instruction using FANUC, Siemens, or Allen-Bradley systems.
- Assess student performance through projects, exams, and skills demonstrations.
- Maintain lab equipment and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred). 3+ years of industry experience in robotics, PLCs, or industrial automation. Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and robotic systems. Candidates will be required to pass a CORI/SORI background check as a condition of employment.
Preferred:
Teaching experience at the college level. Certifications (e.g., FANUC Handling Tool Operations).
