Qualifications: Required · Master's or doctoral degree in education and/or related area from an accredited institution of higher education in a field at the time of appointment · A minimum of 3 years of successful teaching in P-12 settings · Demonstrated ability in communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills · Demonstrated commitment to fostering academic achievement, social and personal responsibility, and social justice · Demonstrated commitment to working in an environment devoted to collaboration, collegiality, professional development, diversity, scholarly inquiry, student learning, civic responsibility, and respect for all people · Demonstrated commitment to working with P-12 schools · A teaching/learning philosophy consistent with the mission of the College of Education Preferred · Experience with the Danielson Framework · Experience teaching in postsecondary settings · Experience teaching content in areas such as: English, Social Studies, Spanish, or Theatre at a secondary level (6-12) Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. In compliance with The State of New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act , and in accordance with the current MOA, Rowan University adjuncts are provided with a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
