Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real-world applications. Responsibilities and Duties: Create a community of learners Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment Provide consistent feedback Evaluate achievement Assign grades Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc. Focuses on the Commonwealth's Equity Agenda by applying related best practices throughout all job functions. Additional responsibilities: Participate in instructional development and orientation, department, early college, and college wide activities. THIS POOL IS VALID THROUGH JUNE 30, 2027. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site. Job Requirements: A Master's degree in the discipline, Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in the discipline, or native speaker with International or National recognized certification in Spanish. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Preferred Qualifications: Community college teaching experience or experience teaching high school students. Familiarity with learning management systems and other remote learning technology. Additional Information: Position Status: MCCC/MTA position Supervisor: Dean of Liberal Studies and the Arts Semester: Academic Year Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 Schedule: In Person Day Classes - Early College Focus and Possible Evenings Salary: $1,512.00 per credit, consistent with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. *If hired for the position mid-semester, the salary will be pro-rated based on the number of weeks left in the semester.
