Adjunct Faculty: Spanish
Job Description

The faculty member will conduct their assignments and co-curricular college activities in a manner consistent with the philosophy and purpose of Aims Community College as stated in the school catalog. The primary purpose of the faculty member is to teach. Occasional travel may be required.
This position is not available for remote work
Job Duties:
- Teach 100 & 200-level Spanish courses in face-to-face formats.
- Maintain compliance with the provisions of the College's part-time faculty position description including teaching to develop, implement, evaluate and update the purpose, philosophy, objectives and organizational framework of the program.
- Maintain compliance regarding all faculty responsibilities enumerated in the College Policies and Procedures.
- Teach at any scheduled time including evenings and weekends as assigned by Department Chair or Academic Dean.
- Teach at any College location (Fort Lupton, Greeley, Loveland, Windsor) as assigned.
- Provide effective and high quality instruction in all levels of course offerings by continually refining and modernizing curriculum so that it remains educationally sound and meets the high standards of the College.
- Design, implement, and evaluate curriculum using written plans.
- Post and maintain teaching and office hour schedules.
- Use alternative delivery technology in lecture and laboratory instruction to enhance student learning.
- Embrace and apply the provisions of the institutional Mission, Vision and Philosophy.
- Apply learning-centered educational practices such as creating and communicating clearly defined outcomes for student learning.
- Participate in assessment of student learning outcomes.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Spanish OR a master's degree in a closely related field including 18 graduate level credit hours in Spanish.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate in Spanish effectively.
