Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Master's degree and one year of experience in a culinary/hospitality industry enterprise. Candidates must be able to demonstrate expertise in baking and pastry, culinary arts, and/or hospitality management. Candidate must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and comfortable with learning and employing new software. Previous teaching experience with diverse populations in an industry related program, high school instruction, or on a college level is required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Five years of experience including supervisory level experience in a culinary/hospitality industry enterprise is preferred. All candidates should be credentialed as a ServSafe Allergens Instructor/Proctor, and a ServSafe Manager Instructor/Proctor, or earn these credentials before teaching commences. Hospitality candidates should be credentialed as a ServSafe Alcohol Instructor/Proctor or earn these credentials before teaching commences. Experience and familiarity with a learning management system (LMS) such as Blackboard, Canvas, Moodle, or Bright Space is also highly preferred.
Additional Information
HOURLY RATE OF PAY: $82.57 per hour. No benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE: Will vary depending on needs of the college course schedule.
