Job Description
The instructional adjunct faculty member shall have the primary responsibilities to teach doctoral-level courses in quantitative research design/methods within the Doctor of Education (EdD) program. The successful candidate will prepare practitioner-scholars to design, conduct, analyze, and interpret applied research focused on problems of practice in educational and organizational settings.
The Graduate Education EdD Program needs a qualified individual who can teach quantitative and qualitative statistics courses beginning Fall 2026
Required Qualifications
Earned doctorate (EdD or PhD) in education, educational leadership, higher education, psychology, or a closely related field. Demonstrated expertise in quantitative and qualitative research methods. Proficiency in SPSS and applied statistical analysis. Experience conducting or supervising applied research projects in educational or organizational contexts.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience teaching doctoral-level research methods or statistics courses. Experience serving as dissertation chair or committee member in an EdD or PhD program. Ability to translate complex statistical and methodological concepts into practical, accessible instruction for working professionals. Experience supporting practitioner-based inquiry and improvement-focused research.

Job Duties
- Teach doctoral-level courses in quantitative and qualitative research methods
- Provide instruction in statistical concepts and procedures appropriate for applied educational research, including: Descriptive statistics t-tests and independent samples t-tests paired sample t-test One-way ANOVA; Two-way ANOVA; Repeated Measures ANOVA Correlation, regression, and multiple regression analysis Introduction to inferential statistics
- Instruct and support students in the use of SPSS for data management and analysis
- Guide students in developing research questions aligned with problems of practice and selecting appropriate methodologies
- Support students in interpreting quantitative and qualitative findings for use in program evaluation, improvement initiatives, and dissertation research
- Provide timely, substantive, and constructive feedback on research assignments and applied projects.
- Maintain regular and meaningful communication with doctoral students
- Adhere to program outcomes, course objectives, and institutional policies
- Attend dissertation defenses (which may be scheduled in-person or via Zoom).
- Serve as a dissertation committee member or chair
