Position Summary
The Department of Architecture at the University at Buffalo’s School of Architecture and Planning is seeking candidates who are passionate about teaching and inspiring the next generation of architects. Candidates should be capable of teaching courses in architecture and design-related topics at both undergraduate and graduate levels. These courses may be offered in-person, hybrid, or online.
As an adjunct instructor, the successful candidate will:
- Demonstrate appropriate knowledge of architecture and design-related topics
- Provide students with relevant learning materials and expertise in the subject area
- Evaluate students' performance and provide effective feedback
- Contribute to maintaining an inclusive and collaborative environment
- Engage in research or service in alignment with the mission and vision of the school

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture or a related field, or extensive professional experience in architecture.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or Doctoral degree in Architecture
- Licensure in Architecture
- A record of teaching design studios at the college level with a focus on a diverse student body
- Demonstrated commitment to Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
