Adjunct Instructor - Criminal Justice

The College of Business at Ferris State University seeks a lead instructor teaching precision driving course in accordance with MCOLES guidelines. Will supervise and assist part time professional staff with all training maneuvers. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan by the first day of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. The position reports to Law Enforcement Academy Director. The anticipated start date of this position is July 2026.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Supervise and assist precision driving course following MCOLES guidelines, rules and regulations. Supervise and assist training maneuvers for Criminal Justice Law Enforcement students. Faculty members also have professional responsibilities, which may include, but are not limited to, maintaining regularly posted office hours (scheduled at times convenient for students) and participating in traditional functions of academic significance (e.g., reporting initial student participation data and submitting final grades on time). Faculty may be required to teach off-campus or in an online environment. Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty and staff to thrive authentically. Operates a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities. Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
