Founded in 1953, Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC) located in scenic Upstate NY is a multi-campus College with locations in Troy and Malta New York. HVCC offers more than 80 degree and certificate programs in three schools: Business and Liberal Arts; Health Sciences; and Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM). Applications are being accepted for the following vacancies for the Spring 2026 semester on the Adjunct Faculty staff in the Education and Social Sciences Department of Hudson Valley Community College, Troy, New York.

Adjunct Instructor – Economics HV-ADJ-Economics Sp26

Minimum Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Economics or related discipline with 12 graduate credits in economics from an accredited college or university. Ability to teach on campus during the day on our Troy campus.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching Economics courses at the college level, experience with online delivery systems (Brightspace D2L).

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide instruction in Economics.

Evaluate student performance.

At the direction of the Department Chairperson, Adjunct faculty shall perform duties as specified in the Faculty Contract.

The per contact hour rate is $1,457.00. Classes start January 2026.
