Position Vacancy- Online Adjunct instructor for EDUC 823: Play Techniques for Early Childhood Settings, 1 credit
Bank Street Graduate School of Education is looking for an online adjunct instructor for Spring 2026.
This course will be taught fully online, including a range of synchronous and asynchronous experiences. The course will be taught over six sessions. Those dates will be determined by the course instructor and program director.
Dates: January 20 2026 - May 5 2026
Course Day/Time: Tuesday 7:00-9:00pm
This course explores play as central to supporting the social, emotional, and cognitive development of children with varying developmental and learning variations. Participants will learn a variety of therapeutic play techniques that promote self-regulation, self-esteem, and emotional expression, and development across domains. This course is appropriate for general and special education teachers, parents, caregivers, child life specialists, social workers, therapists and counselors. Participants are required to have prior coursework focused on child development and on developmental variations. Prerequisite: EDUC 803 or with permission of instructor.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, social work, or related field.
- 5 or more years of experience facilitating play for young children with and without disabilities.
- Experience teaching at the graduate level and teaching online, preferred.
