Duties & Responsibilities:
Position responsibilities duties include, (but are not limited to):
- Facilitate the course objectives
- Meet all designated course instruction guidelines
- Grade assignments and exams in a timely manner based on instructions/rubric provided
- Respond to student inquiries within 24 hours
- Submit final grades according to College and department policies
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours of coursework in psychology, counseling, education, behavioral health, student affairs, student development, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of the emotional, motivational, and developmental needs of college students.
- Demonstrated experience working in and fostering an environment of respect, professionalism, and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in psychology, education, counseling, or a related discipline
- Prior teaching experience at the postsecondary level
Salary Range: Minimum of $1,437 per credit hour
FLSA Exemption Status: Exempt
Hours per Week: 28
ORP Eligible: No
