SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct faculty teaching in the Hospitality department. Classes may be event, culinary, or hospitality related.
Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the college's needs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- A Bachelor's degree in an appropriate field is required.
- A minimum of an Associate's degree in Culinary or Baking and Pastry Arts is desired.
- Five (5) years supervisory work experience in a restaurant or bakery is preferred.
- Currently ServSafe Certified or become Certified upon hire.
- Teaching experience is required; preferably at the community college level.
- Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
