SUNY Broome Community College is seeking candidates for part-time adjunct faculty to teach a variety of Computer Science courses within the Computer Science (CST) department. Courses include but are not limited to: Computer Applications, Problem Solving and Communication Tools, Networking, and Computer Security. Additional courses may exist for various programming languages, small systems designs, and digital logic.
Applications for Adjunct Instructor positions are accepted on a continuous basis. Candidates are contacted and hired as opportunities arise, depending on the college's needs.
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or an appropriate field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.
- Three (3) years of teaching experience and/or a combination of teaching and programming is preferred.
- Applicants should be comfortable in the learner-centered classroom and have a strong commitment to the community college mission.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without a visa sponsorship.
Offers of employment will be conditional based upon the results of a satisfactory, required pre-employment Standard Background Check.
