Tarleton State University invites applications for the position of Adjunct Instructor – Legal Studies in the Department of Government, Legal Studies, and Philosophy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

100% Teaching:

• Plan, prepare, and deliver lectures, seminars, and/or laboratory offerings to undergraduate and/or graduate students.
• Develop course syllabi, select instructional materials, and design assessments.
• Assess student performance and provide timely feedback.
• Engage students in active learning and provide academic support.

Required Qualifications

• Earned masters degree in Legal Studies, a Juris Doctorate, or a closely related field from an accredited university with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned doctorate/terminal degree in law or a closely related field.
• Previous online teaching experience at the collegiate level.
