Adjunct Instructor - Pharmacy Technician (Non-Credit)
Creates industry relevant curriculum and assessments for students to be ready for externship placement in both institutional and ambulatory pharmacies. Provides classroom instruction to students so they may successfully pass the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board exam. Collaborate with other faculty, department manager internship coordinator to support student success.
Macomb Community College Adjunct Faculty demonstrate deep subject matter knowledge and provide effective instruction to students using various modalities including, but not limited to, on campus, online, remote, hybrid, and flexible learning. Adjunct Faculty are responsive to their students and support their success through timely communication, feedback, and assessment of student learning.
- Teach Pharmacy Technician courses as assigned by the department.
- Maintain course materials in the College's Learning Management System (LMS), including, but not limited to, announcement, syllabus, and gradebook.
- Keep gradebook up to date and submit final grades by published deadlines.
- Creates course curriculum and assessments, refines and modifies as industry dictates.
- Prompt completion of student grades and classroom paperwork as requested.
- Expected to be reliable, responsible, professional and efficient with schedule and teaching assignment.
- Promotes and supports student success
- Performs other duties as assigned
Pharmacist, or Pharmacy Technician with PTCB certification and State of Michigan license to practice either.
