"Adjunct Instructor - Political Science"

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Penn State Beaver invites applications for part-time academic job of Instructor of Political Science for the academic term of Fall 2025.

The course focus is:

• Contemporary political ideologies
• Comparative analysis of the beliefs, values and ideas that constitute the major political ideologies
• Ideologies as traditions of thought developed through contentious political action
• Each ideology is examined with respect to its historical origin

Requirements, qualifications, education and/or competencies:

• A master's degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited institution
• Prior teaching experience is strongly preferred

BACKGROUND CHECKS/CLEARANCES

This position requires the following clearances in addition to applicable background checks: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance Form, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
