Position Highlights
The University of Arizona School of Dance seeks Part-Time Adjunct Instructor(s) beginning January 13, 2027.
As a nationally recognized dance program at a public research university, we welcome applicants with expertise across a broad spectrum of dance and movement practices. We are particularly seeking candidates with expertise in Pilates, with additional experience in one or more of the following areas welcomed: Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Ballroom, Tap, Pointe, Choreography, yoga, and other related movement practices.
The successful candidate will teach studio practice and/or lecture courses within their area(s) of expertise and may have opportunities to create performance or choreographic work. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to student-centered teaching and contribute to the mission and academic community of the University of Arizona School of Dance.
The School of Dance fosters a student-centered learning environment that encourages problem-solving, critical thinking, and conceptual analysis skills. We maintain a unique focus on performance, choreography, and pedagogy to prepare students for professional careers. The School of Dance is part of the Arizona Arts division, which serves as a gateway to visual and performing arts experiences, programs, and assets on the University of Arizona (U of A) campus. We seek a candidate who aligns with the core values of the university and has a commitment to learning for all with a devotion to the arts.
