Required Qualifications: Associate Degree (or higher) in Surgical Technology from a regionally accredited college or university OR Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) with a healthcare focus from a regionally accredited college or university. Current unencumbered Surgical technologist certification from The National Board of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA); certification must be maintained throughout the duration of employment. Current American Heart Association BLS Certification for healthcare professionals; certification must be maintained throughout the duration of employment. Current member of the Association of Surgical Technologist (AST) professional organization; membership must be maintained throughout the duration of employment. Minimum 2 years of work experience as a certified Surgical Technologist (CST) within the last 5 years. Experience must be in the operating room scrub role, as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse population and as a member of a team.

Preferred Qualifications: Teaching experience at the college or community college level. Course management system (Desire2Learn) experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including email, electronic calendars, presentation software, etc.
