Adjunct Instructor - Veterinary Technician
Job Description Summary
Adjunct Instructors are responsible for the facilitation of student learning and the on-going development of instructional strategies that promote student success.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Learning Facilitation - Foster student learning by developing appropriate instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs and support student engagement.
- Assessment - Assess student learning and provide regular feedback to help students be successful.
- Classroom Management - Fulfill assigned schedule, maintain accurate student attendance and grade records.
- Team Participation - Support the college by engaging with the department.
- Business & Community Engagement - Build and maintain ongoing relationships with community, industry, and clinical partners.
- Student Success & Support - Serve as an advocate for students.
- Professional Development - Continually improve knowledge and skills.
- Curriculum Development - If needed, develop curriculum and instructional materials.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate degree or the degree/licensure level at which the adjunct instructor is teaching at a minimum (Bachelor's degree or higher preferred). Minimum of at least 4,000 hours occupational experience. Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (passed VTNE) or a DVM. Certified in the state of Wisconsin.
