Position Summary
The Department of Biological Sciences at SUNY Cortland is accepting applications to fill potential part-time adjunct faculty openings for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Starting Salary: $4500 per 3 credit hour course

Major Responsibilities
A classroom based 3 credit hour course pays $4500 per class. The department typically hires for the courses/subject areas listed below but this list is not all inclusive. Other courses/subject areas may become available within the department.
ILLUSTRATIVE NEEDS INCLUDE:
Laboratory Instructors for majors and non-majors
Introductory Biology
Cell Biology, Genetics
Human Anatomy and Physiology
Microbiology for non-majors
Ecology
Functional and Supervisory Relationships
Adjunct instructors report to the principal instructor of course(s) and/or laboratory coordinator.
The Department Chair is hiring the supervisor for all adjunct positions in the department.
Required Qualifications
• Appropriate level of experience and/or Master’s degree in biological fields related to course subject area.
Preferred Qualifications
• Terminal degree preferred.
