Adjunct Lecturer, History(Pooled Posting)
Job Description Summary
Bentley University is always seeking qualified candidates for future openings as Adjunct Lecturers in the History Department. We welcome specialists in a variety of fields, including Contemporary World History, U.S. History, and the history of non-U.S. regions of the world. Please note: There is no position available at this time, but when a position becomes available we will actively source candidates from this applicant pool.
Minimum Qualifications
A master's degree in History is required. Candidates must also have the ability to use or willingness to learn course management and delivery software such as Blackboard and Zoom.
Preferred Qualifications
A Ph.D. in History and experience teaching the subject are highly desired. The ability to deliver courses in a variety of formats (including hybrid and online) is desirable, too.

Salary Range
Compensation for adjunct faculty is governed by the collective bargaining agreement between Bentley University and the Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 509. For the 2025–26 academic year, adjunct faculty are compensated at a rate of $7,225.00 per course. Courses with labs and other four-credit courses shall will be compensated at a higher minimum rate of $9,333.00 per course.
