The Department of Nursing at North Carolina Wesleyan University is seeking qualified, student-centered professionals for the position of Adjunct Nursing Clinical Faculty. These part-time positions are responsible for supervising nursing students in clinical settings and facilitating the integration of theory into practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and evaluate nursing students in assigned clinical settings.
• Facilitate safe, evidence-based patient care practices.
• Provide timely, constructive feedback to students through formative and summative evaluations.
• Collaborate with course faculty and clinical site staff to ensure clinical learning is consistent with course and program learning outcomes.
• Evaluate student performance using established clinical evaluation tools.
• Ensure compliance with program policies, accreditation standards, and clinical agency requirements.
• Attend required faculty meetings and training sessions.
• Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement processes.
• Participate in reporting to maintaining compliance with NCBON regulations and accreditation standards.

Qualifications:

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) required.
• Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred.

Licensure & Certification

• Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina.
• Certification in nursing education (e.g., CNE) preferred.

Experience

• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• Prior teaching experience in clinical nursing education preferred.
• Experience with clinical coordination and healthcare partnerships preferred.
• Seeking candidates with strong background in medical-surgical, critical care, public health, pediatric, and maternal nursing.

This is an adjunct position for clinical supervision assignments in the traditional prelicensure BSN program.

Position(s) are contingent upon funding.
