Pay is $1,304 per credit hour.

GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Kirkwood Linn County Regional Center in Hiawatha, IA and Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa in Coralville, IA are seeking adjuncts to teach BIO-151 Nutrition. Successful candidates will have strong knowledge base in their discipline and teaching experience at the college level is desirable. Primary duties will include teaching assigned class(es) and communicating with Department staff, students and faculty.

Fall 2026

Kirkwood Regional Center at the University of Iowa (at Coralville):

7:30 - 9:00 am

Tuesday/Thursday

August 25th - December 11th

Kirkwood Linn County Regional:

Section 1:

Will be hiring two adjuncts for two different sections.

7:30 - 9:00 am

Tuesday/Thursday

August 25th - December 11th

Section 2:

12:30 - 2:00 pm

Tuesday/Thursday

August 25th - December 11th

Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions scheduled intermittently based on institutional need. Adjuncts are not guaranteed work in any semester and are notified of course assignments prior to each term as courses become available.

  • Perform other related work duties as assigned.

  • Effectively instruct and communicate material for the course.
  • Abide by and enforce safety rules when in a lab setting.

Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.
