Adjunct Positions in Medicine and Health

Important Information

• The call is open from Friday 4th September 2026 until 12 noon on Tuesday 27th October 2026.
• Only fully completed applications submitted via the UCC HR portal will be reviewed by the College of Medicine and Health Adjunct Appointments Committee.
• Successful applicants will receive one of the honorary titles listed below:
  • Adjunct Professor
  • Adjunct Senior Lecturer
  • Adjunct Lecturer
  • Adjunct Clinical Professor
  • Adjunct Clinical Senior Lecturer
  • Adjunct Clinical Lecturer
• Appointments are for 3 years and are subject to renewal following review of application by the Adjunct Appointments Committee.

Who should NOT use this route of application

Specialist Registrar / Registrar Non-Consulting Hospital Doctors working in clinical sites affiliated to UCC School of Medicine should not apply for adjunct appointment through this College level call.

• A separate call will be made by the School of Medicine in July 2027 for the specific 1-year Adjunct Clinical Lectureship.

Consultants with School of Medicine Clinical Senior Lecturer (CSL) contracts.

• Medical Consultants are eligible to hold a CSL contract with the School of Medicine.
• Go to UCC Job Vacancies for School of Medicine CSL applications (rolling call).

There will be a separate University level call for promotion for previously appointed School of Medicine CSLs to Clinical Professor (date to be confirmed by UCC People and Culture).
