Job Description
Policy Lab is a policy innovation unit looking to test transformative solutions through applied research and experimentation. It is a department within the Institute of Policy Studies (IPS), a think-tank in the National University of Singapore.
The Adjunct Senior Research Fellow (IPS Policy Lab, two year contract) will contribute to Policy Lab’s research programmes. The department’s current workstreams include 1) Community Empowerment, 2) Citizen Participation and Collaborative Governance; and 3) Social Mobility.
The job scope includes:
- Explore and develop proposals for policy or social innovations.
- Engage policymakers, co-create with communities, secure funding and establish partnerships to implement solutions.
- Produce concept papers, policy briefs or research reports to communicate these solutions or contribute to a body of knowledge relevant to Policy Lab workstreams.
Specifically, we are looking for an experienced mentor to act as an ‘entrepreneur-in-residence’ to support the various community-owned enterprises that will help to start in the Community Business Incubator programme.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Have at least 10 years of entrepreneurial experience in start-ups or in senior leadership positions.
- Competency in working across multi-stakeholder collaborations.
- Bachelor’s degree from a reputable university.
