The Adjunct Instructor reports to the Undergraduate Chair, School of Business. Required Qualifications
Master's degree in business or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline, or a terminal degree in the teaching discipline from a regionally accredited institution
Job Duties
- Teach undergraduate business courses as assigned
- Develop and deliver instruction consistent with approved course learning outcomes and curriculum
- Organize and deliver course content using effective instructional methods that promote student learning and conceptual understanding
- Maintain an active and organized course within Canvas, including syllabi, instructional materials, assignments, grades, and course communications
- Develop, administer, and evaluate assessments that effectively measure student learning outcomes
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to students regarding academic performance
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student academic records in accordance with university policies
- Submit final grades and other required academic reports by established university deadlines
- Maintain regular communication with students and the Undergraduate Chair regarding course-related matters
- Promote the mission, vision, and values of Lincoln Memorial University
- Foster positive and professional working relationships among faculty, staff, students, and the university community
- Comply with all applicable university, school, and departmental policies and procedures, including those outlined in the LMU Employee Handbook and the Center for Teaching, Learning, and Excellence (CTLE) guidelines
- Participate in required adjunct orientation, training, and faculty evaluation activities
- Perform other instructional duties as assigned
