Nellesen Center for Autism at Utah Valley University. As an
Administrative Assistant, you will serve as a trusted resource for
leadership and staff, helping coordinate programs, special events,
and essential business functions that support individuals and
families. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys

support important community-centered services.
The successful candidate will gain experience in a wide range of
administrative and operational responsibilities, including budget
support, facilities scheduling, database and records management,
inventory oversight, and event coordination. With opportunities to

Summary of Responsibilities
- Performs difficult and confidential administrative duties,
including composing routine correspondence, record-keeping,
minute-taking, coordinating NB maintenance facilities requests,
procurement, catering, and facilities scheduling.
Informs students, faculty, community about upcoming events and
services of the Center. Coordinates and facilitates events; handles
all phone calls, e-mails, and walk-in traffic. Collaborates with
MNCA staff to support all Center operations.
Performs financial activities for the Center, including
new-hire paperwork, ePAFs, requisitions, purchase orders, travel,
etc. Assists the Director with maintaining a balanced budget for
individual programs, grants, and the Center as a whole.
Maintains inventory of office equipment and supplies. Maintains
organization of communal work, classroom, and event spaces.
Supervises student workers and office support.
Performs other job-related duties, as assigned.
Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
Graduation from an accredited institution with a bachelor's degree
related to the Summary of Duties; OR any combination of education
and/or experience totaling four years.
For Example:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- OR an associate degree in a related field + 2 years of related
work experience
- OR 1 year of college coursework in a related field + 3 years of
related work experience
- OR 2 years of college coursework in a related field + 2 years
of related work experience
- OR 3 years of college coursework in a related field + 1 year of
related work experience
- OR 4 years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience related to the Summary of Duties in a
higher education setting.
- Experience using Banner9, ePAFs, NeoEd, and Wolverine
Marketplace.
