Administrative Assistant 2- MCG Neurology
Job Summary
The position serves as a primary administrative assistant for the Office Manager, Business Manager, and Grant Program Manager and will assist with the ongoing administrative operations of the Neurology Chair's office.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities to include but are not limited to:
- Provide direct support for the Office Manager, Business Manager and Grant Program Manager. Provide calendar support, etc. for the Administrator. Assist with support of the Chair as needed.
- Assist Office Manager with faculty recruitment processes and onboarding tasks; assist Office Manager with promotion and tenure process; assist Office Manager with annual faculty evaluation process.
- Manage internal department event planning and logistics; manage auditorium reservation calendar and requests; assist with annual inventory reporting; assist with Qgenda provider scheduling; assist with training of new Office Specialists, assist with Reach Program as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact in the absence of the Office Manager, ensuring continuity of operations and timely response to inquiries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Associate's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and four years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
OR
High School Diploma or GED from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization and seven years progressively responsible experience in administrative support positions.
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
KNOWLEDGE
Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases.
SKILLS
Detail-oriented
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
ABILITIES
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Shift/Salary/Benefits
Shift: Days/M-F
Pay Band: B5
Salary Range: $17.88/hourly - $21.92/hourly
Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of the selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position.
