POSITION SUMMARY
Performs general administrative and clerical support activities
for faculty and staff to ensure efficient operation of the
organization and supports faculty, staff, and the organization.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service.
- Ability to provide administrative support to organization and
staff by scheduling appointments, prepare and modify documents
including correspondence.
- Ability to manage multiple projects or duties simultaneously,
prioritize and execute workload.
- Demonstrated ability to use logical reasoning to analyze a
situation and arrive at a workable solution and contribute
effectively to the accomplishment of team or project.
- Ability to comply with standard Dallas College principles and
procedures.
- Intermediate personal computer knowledge including virtual
meeting software, good organizational skills with attention to
detail and the ability to multi-task.
- Must be able to communicate effectively in a positive
manner.
- Demonstrate ability to work with confidential information with
discretion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Performs routine clerical job duties in an office
environment.
- Will attend required meetings; record and prepare meeting
minutes; compile, copy and distribute related reports.
- Assist department with procurement in accordance with Dallas
College guidelines.
- Completes all required and assigned training and professional
development sessions sponsored through Dallas College per academic
year.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Normal physical job functions are performed within a standard
office environment. Reasonable accommodation may be made for
individuals with physical challenges to perform the essential
duties and responsibilities. Occasionally you may be required to
lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent plus one (1) year of
administrative work-related experience.
- Bilingual preferred.
