The Engineering Department includes bachelor's degree programs in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, and Mechatronics Engineering, as well as an Associate degree in Pre-Engineering, related minors, and certificates.
Responsibilities
Administrative Support
- Financial management and purchasing.
- Travel and visitor coordination.
- Human resources and payroll logistics.
- Academic and course scheduling support.
- Student support and engagement.
- Event planning and coordination.
Marketing & Social Media Support
- Department social media posting and responses.
- Content creation.
- Department website updates.
- College marketing and social media based on availability.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or two year’s office experience with a high school diploma/GED with some college coursework and/or a post-secondary certificate.
- Experience with financial recordkeeping, purchasing, budget tracking, and payroll processes.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students, administrators, and external stakeholders.
- Experience posting to social media and proficiency in digital design software, video editing, photo editing, and flyer design.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in an engineering, STEM, or higher education environment.
- Experience with university administrative systems such as Banner, Argos, CourseLeaf, or EMS.
- Experience supporting grants, accreditation activities, or academic programs.
Supplemental Information
POSITION DETAILS, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS: Full-time overtime-eligible staff position. Annual salary of $35,700 with a desired start date of August 2026.
