Administrative Assistant I - Curriculum & Scheduling

Under direct supervision, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Downloading and archiving finalized course and program proposals, memos, and other files related to the curriculum process.
- Manage and archive files from the Common Course Numbering Process.
- Type and format content in the annual college catalog.
- Support the transfer program through draft checking to make sure items in various documents match.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating curriculum committee meetings including agenda and meeting minutes preparation and archiving.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education and one year of clerical experience which included experience in one or more of the following areas: maintaining records and reviewing forms, documents, and other written materials; OR six months of experience as an Administrative Aid in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated writing and proofreading skills, with demonstrated experience in producing error-free, high-quality documentation and professional correspondence.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with various computer programs including scheduling or curriculum or catalog software, student information systems, and Microsoft applications.
- Experience maintaining organized digital archives and document repositories with high accuracy, security, and attention to detail.
Weekly Schedule
Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm
Starting Salary
Grade 23, Step 1 - $39,421.44
*This position is contingent upon ongoing and available funding.
Per Nevada Administrative Code (NAC 284.170), salaries for initial appointments for classified positions typically begin at Step 1.
