Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:
General administrative and secretarial duties. Maintaining accurate records, files, and documentation; accomplishment of routine and extraordinary administrative details; and general secretarial duties. Bookkeeping may be required.
Duties specific to department:
- Serves as first point of contact for incoming phone calls and visitors to the office of Branding, Marketing and Communication.
- Facilitates paperwork for accounts receivable/payable in transactions made within and outside the University.
- Schedules logistics, travel arrangements, and similar for departmental staff.
- Maintains accurate records for departmental work with outside vendors.
- Assists supervisor with scheduling hours for student workers; will assist in managing student worker projects and workload as directed by supervisor.
- Assists supervisor with budget management and monitoring of expenses as needed.
- Maintains website events calendar.
- Posts published press releases to the website.
- Coordinates with campus units to compile radio copy for WKMS ads.
- Additional marketing/communication responsibilities may be required as needed.
- Other duties as required.
Minimum Education Requirements: Two years of college.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements: Three years of administrative experience required. Additional college education and related work experience may be exchanged year-for-year to meet qualifications. Must possess excellent typing, office procedure, organization, interpersonal, and communication skills. Must be able to work with a variety of people. The ability to multi-task is critical. As a front-facing service unit to both university and external partners, attention to detail is essential. Keyboarding, filing, MS Office Suite programs, office procedures; bookkeeping may be required.
