The College of Southern Nevada, Henderson campus is recruiting for an Administrative Assistant II to work in the Department of Nursing. Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Providing administrative support to program directors and faculty for departmental programs.
- Preparing faculty contracts.
- Coordinating and assisting with processing newly hired faculty and program personnel.
- Preparing and maintaining budget documents.
- Answering phones departmental programs.
- Working with a variety of general office equipment.
- Attending various meetings and trainings at various campuses.
- Interacting with students, faculty and administration; maintaining accurate records and files.
- Managing and prioritizing job assignments.
- Ensuring work products meet established standards of quantity and quality.
- Additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from high school or equivalent education and two or more years of progressively responsible relevant work experience which includes providing administrative/program support to professional staff and management; performing administrative duties in support of a manager and program; coordinating communications between the manager, staff and program clientele; maintaining records and files; preparing a variety of materials using a computer or word processor; assisting customers in completing forms and applications; OR one year of experience as an Administrative Assistant I in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- Knowledgeable of Work Day and My CSN.
- Computer proficiency and in depth knowledge of Microsoft Office platforms, Word, Excel, Power Point.
- Good communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
- Problem solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and office etiquette.
Weekly Schedule
Monday - Friday: 8 am - 5 pm
Please Note: Position subject to flexibility based on department needs with time divided at the West Charleston campus
Starting Salary
Grade 25, Step 1 $ 42,636.96
