Lake Forest College, one of the top liberal arts schools in the Midwest, invites applications for the part-time position of an Administrative Assistant. This position reports directly to the Associate Director of Operations for Academic Affairs and is in Lake Forest, IL.
Summary of the role
Lake Forest College seeks a dynamic, experienced individual with a positive outlook to serve as the Administrative Assistant to the English and Modern Language and Literatures Departments.
The Administrative Assistant will provide support and serves as the key point person for all faculty and students within Carnegie Hall.
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day office administration and support to include but not limited to, answering email and phones, ordering supplies, making copies, scanning documents, website support
- Budget management
- Planning meetings and special events
Skill Sets
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Superb time-management skills and multitasking ability
- Ability to track budgets and expenses
- Willingness to take initiative and follow through on projects
- Ability to work effectively and professionally with students, staff and faculty from diverse backgrounds.
Minimum Experience Required
- Previous Administrative Assistant experience a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and capable of using other standard Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent work experience
Compensation and Benefits
Starting range is dependent upon individual qualifications and experience but expected to be in the range of $18 per hour to $19 per hour.
