Classification Pay Scale
In compliance with SB 1162, Western University of Health Sciences is providing a pay scale for this position. The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.
Expected Pay Scale
Minimum: $25.50 Hourly
Maximum $27.00 Hourly
Job Summary
Provide a variety of administrative and operational support services for the College of Dental Medicine primarily in the areas of the Office of Academic Affairs.
Must demonstrate the ability to handle a multitude of tasks in an ever-changing, dynamic academic environment, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a time setting.

- Good computer skills necessary to set up document formats in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and any other software program required by this position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to interact with administration, faculty, staff, and students effectively and professionally.
- Experience in creating schedules of activities, preferably in an academic setting.
- Language ability to produce clear and concise reports; reasoning ability to problem solve quickly.
- Must be able to prioritize and schedule opportunity for resolution of problems.
- Demonstrate a commitment to working in an organization that values and promotes humanism.
Required Qualifications
Education:
- AA degree and/or any combination experience/education as a substitute for minimum education.
- High School Diploma or Graduate Equivalency Diploma (GED) required.
Experience:
- Minimum of 4-5 years administrative/clerical or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- BA/BS preferred.
- Preference will be given to those who possess experience in an academic environment and have 6+ years experience as an Administrative Assistant/Associate or Executive Assistant.
